NGOs That Supported Them

Foundations and NGOs We Actively Support

Doninu (Malta) International is fully committed to assisting various foundations and NGOs that provide essential services to individuals and families in vulnerable situations. Our volunteers also engage directly with these persons in need, offering both moral and practical support. It is important to clearly state that Doninu (Malta) International does not collect any monetary donations, either on its own behalf or on behalf of others, in full compliance with Maltese law. Instead, the public is encouraged to donate funds directly to the respective organisations or beneficiaries through their official bank accounts. This approach ensures transparency, legality, and respect for our ethical and legal obligations.

PUTTINU

Doninu (Malta) International seems to be working within the framework of Maltese laws concerning voluntary organizations and donations. However, there are a few important aspects to clarify regarding the legal compliance in such activities:

  1. Voluntary Donations Without Collecting Funds: Since Doninu (Malta) International does not collect donations directly but provides the details (such as bank or Revolut numbers) for individuals to donate directly to the families, this method can generally be considered legally under Maltese law, as long as the donations are handled transparently and directly between the donor and the recipient.
  2. Voluntary Organization Compliance: As Doninu (Malta) International is not registered with the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations (CVO), it is not subject to certain registration or reporting requirements for donations under the Voluntary Organisations Act. However, Doninu is still bound by basic principles of honesty and transparency, and it is essential that the organization clearly communicates how the donations are to be handled, ensuring there is no misrepresentation or misuse of the donations.
  3. Direct Donations: The fact that the donations go directly to the families through their bank or Revolut accounts means that Doninu does not hold the funds directly, which minimizes the risk of misuse. It is important, however, to maintain a clear and accessible method for public oversight, such as ensuring clear communication of which families or individuals are receiving the support and for what purposes.
